RE

Our RE curriculum, taught through Understanding Christianity and The Emmanuel Project, helps children learn about Christianity and a range of world religions in a thoughtful, balanced and engaging way. We aim for pupils to develop curiosity, respect and a secure understanding of how beliefs shape people’s lives. Learning is structured through enquiry-based units that build knowledge step-by-step, encourage discussion and reflection, and make strong links to real-life experiences. Through visits, visitors and hands-on activities, pupils deepen their understanding of diverse beliefs and values. By the time they leave our school, children are confident in talking about faith, able to appreciate different viewpoints and equipped with the understanding and empathy needed to contribute positively to our diverse society.
