Geography

At Essendon, Geography is taught through the engaging and well‑sequenced Kapow curriculum. We aim to develop pupils’ curiosity about the world and help them understand the people, places and environments that shape it. Children build their knowledge of human and physical geography while developing practical skills in map work, fieldwork and geographical enquiry.

Through exploring local, national and global contexts, pupils learn to think critically about environmental issues and appreciate the diversity of our planet. Our curriculum equips children with the skills, understanding and sense of responsibility they need to become informed global citizens.
