On Thursday 16th October the Essendon school community attended St. Mary's Church for the Harvest Service. Ruby class performed a beautiful harvest song complete with actions while Sapphire class read acrostic poems inspired by autumn. Emerald class used props (including a shopping trolley!) to sing and celebrate food and Diamond class closed the service with a reading called 'The Gift of the Earth'. Thank you to Mr. Hampshire for providing the musical accompaniment to the songs, Mr. Brennan for leading the service and the leaders from St. Mary's Church. Many thanks to parents and carers for your generous food donations which will be given to the food bank at the church.
