At Essendon Primary School we believe in a fun and interactive approach to Maths. In line with the 2014 National Curriculum, our lessons are planned to address the curriculum’s aims of fluency, reasoning and problem solving. All classes have one hour of Maths a day plus opportunities to develop their knowledge further during cross-curriculum lessons. The school predominantly uses the mixed-age planning approach, as set out by the White Rose Maths Hub, which can be accessed here: White Rose Website
