2017-2018 Academic Year

 

Bag2School September 2017

Our first fundraiser of the academic year and £60 received from the Bag2School organisation. Well done all who contributed. 

 

Christmas Card Drive 2017 

The children have helping to raise funds by designing some fab Christmas cards. This initiative was well received last year and we hope will raise lots of funds for ESA this academic year too.

Bag2School September 2016

Our first fundraiser of the academic year and £128 received from the Bag2School organisation. Well done all who contributed. 

 

Christmas Card Drive 2016 and TeaTowel Drive 2016

The children have helping to raise funds by designing some fab Christmas cards and also designing contributions for our tea-towel (shown above). These two initiatives have been well received with cards making around £180 and the tea-towels turning a profit of over £60. There are still a few tea-towels left if anyone still wants one then grab one soon as they are nearly sold out.

 

Jumble Sale Autumn 2016

This autumn term we have also held a fundraising jumble sale raising a good contribution towards ESA funds of £160 and also benefiting the British Heart Foundation and a local shelter who took left over stock.

 

Christmas Shopping Night 2016

Our annual Christmas Shopping Night was a great success with everyone having a lovely evening and around £700 of funds being raised.

Open Day and Nativity Shows 2016
The ESA have helped provide refreshments at our open day and at the Nativity Shows.  Massive thanks to all who have been involved and to all who have supported us. 

 

Bag2school Jan 2017

Our collection after the Christmas break brought us in another cheque from the Bag2School organisation. This time for £88 bring our total from the collections this accademic year so far to £216. 

 

Chinese New Year Party 2017

run as a social/fun event for the pupils this well attended fun evening still raised a small contribution of just short of £30 for our funds.

 

Talent Night 2017

A fun enjoyable event was had by all with a lovely selection of acts and a fundraising total of just short of £300.

 

Bag2School April 2017

Our last bag2school of the year took our total raised through the bag2school initiative over the £300 for the academic year. A fab result considering it is really not hard work to organise.

 

May Fayre 2017

21 May 2017 - A fantastic day was had with beautiful weather. As well as our big summer raffle being held we also raised a smashing total at the event itself beating all previous records. The total for the raffle plus event stands at £3700!

 

Sports Day 2017

As a treat for making such an amazing amount of money at our May Fayre we ran a fun afternoon after the school sports day with a bouncy castle on the field and some catering vans providing families that wanted to purchase them hot food and ices. (This event did no raise any funds, although the full cost of the bouncy castle was partially offset by the catering and a very kind donation from Helen Donaghue photography for who sold fundraising photos of the day).

 

Camp Night 2017

15th Jul 2017 - Lots of fun and a chance for adults and kids to socialise. We had a good turn out of families and we all played games, had a campfire, shared a BBQ, and the kids did some lovely craft activities making buzzing bees out of pine cones we foraged.

 

Essendon Supafete 2017

A small team went along to run our popular lollipop game to help raise money at this village event.  We hope all that visited had a fabulous time. The school has been given a donation from the profits for the event.

Bag2School
Raising nearly £240 in the 2015-2016 academic year this is one initiative we will be continuing with!

 

ESA May Fayre
Raising approx £2000 this event is our biggest of the year and saw all the fun of the fayre at our little school! For a small school our fayre certainly packs a punch! 

 

Grand Opening of the New Play Facilities - Mar 24th 

The ESA provided refreshments at this chance for parents and the local press to see the new facilities built using a National Lottery grant.

 

Family Photoshoot Day - Mar 20th 

Massive thanks to Helen for this opportunity. Lots of families took up the opportunity to get photos taken and we made approx £100 for ESA funds at the same time!

 

ESA Talent Show - Fri 4th March 6-8pm

Our ESA talent show team headed up by Tomas' mum Anna put on a lovely show thanks to the hard work of the wonderful children. We took over £700 on the night running a bar, food and also an auction.  Thanks to all who were involved in this fantastic fun way to celebrate the talents of our children and have a great night out and fundraiser too.

 

Christmas Shopping Night 2015
Raising approximately £1000 this was a fab fun evening for all and a lovely opportunity to grab some Christmas presents whilst raising funds for the school.

Starwars Night 2015 -

Christmas End of Term Party

A fun chance for a celebration and a fundraiser to boot. We raised approx £100 for funds at our party in the village hall. Huge thanks to Steve and DJ Code-Breaker for putting on the Disco!

Jumble Sale 2015 -

 

 

Fri 25th Sep - Macmillian Coffee Afternoon

We raised over £60 at our coffee afternoon and cake sale. Thanks to those who donated cakes, helped out, and those who came along to support.

 

Curriculum Evening - September 22nd

We ran coffees and teas at this event raising a modest amount for the ESA funds whilst providing much needed cuppas and biscuits to parents and staff alike.  Thanks especially to the small team of girls from Warrenwood and Harefield who took the initiative to help on the night taking money and orders.

 

2014-2015 Academic Year

 

Summer Last Day of term BBQ July 2015

On the last day of the summer term 2015 we had a BBQ on the village playing fields where ESA volunteers cooked burgers and organised games activities the children could involve themselves in. Everyone had a fab time and the weather was extremely kind. Mr Childs our caretaker kindly opened the bar at the cricket club pavilion for refreshments and toilet facilities. We raised over £100 and had lots of fun.

 

School Open Evening Jul 2015
Members of the ESA donated cakes and ran a cake stall to raise funds and provide a refreshment service.

 

May Fayre May 2015

We raised just over £2000 for the ESA at our May Fayre. See the separate page for photos etc. of this, our largest fundraiser of the year.

Christmas Shopping Evening Friday 28th Nov 2014

We had a fantastic turn out for our Christmas Shopping Evening where people took the opportunity to come along and do some Christmas shopping at the lovely stalls and enjoy some seasonal mulled wine and nibbles. Children met Santa, joined in crafts and other activities, including meeting some of the animals "Wild Fangs" brought along. Lots also partook of the excellent chocolate fountain and and wrapped up some surprise presents for family and friends.  We had very positive comments from visitors and stall holders alike. Although we have yet to finalise all expenses we made a fantastic profit for ESA funds in the region of £1,000. 

 
Christmas Mum's Night Out This was chance for all the mums of pupils from Pre-Nursery up to Y6 to have a fun evening out. Just over 20 mums came along and we went to Essendon Country Club and enjoyed a lovely meal and lots of dancing.

FROZEN Night

This event was a sing-a-long with a difference. Pupils came back to school at 5pm ready for a FROZEN experience. Parents were welcome (and encouraged) to stay and join in!! Dressing up was encouraged and everyone brought a camera for photo opportunities with our suprise guests!! Anna and Elsa from Frozen were with us for the evening!! Thanks to "With Love from a Princess" (http://www.withlovefromaprincess.com)  Refreshments were on sale at Wandering Oaken's trading post and we made a fantastic profit for ESA funds. 

 

Macmillian Coffee Afternoon (We raised over £125 for Macmillian at our coffee afternoon in September 2014 where we welcomed parents, grandparents and members of the Esssendon community to join us in a cuppa and a cake or two!)

 

2013-2014 Academic Year

 

End of Summer Term Disco (This was chance for all the pupils from Reception up to Y6 to have a fun evening dancing and socialising with their school friends. ESA raised approx £100 as two of our Dad's kindly stepped in to run the disco and lighting.)

 

Summer Camp Night and family BBQ (This was a great opportunity to socialise and make the most of our school grounds, this year we also had a Gruffalo themed treasure hunt and supervised marshmallow toasting.)

 

May Fayre (Our biggest fundraiser of the year saw our school grounds filled with all sorts of fantastic fun activities, stalls and attractions, including go karts, lazer tag, archery, story telling, crafts and much more.)

 

Sports Relief Fun Evening (after school activities were provided for children along with refreshments and sports themed craft activities. Certificates were awarded for attendance as well as for those doing particularly well in some of the sports related challenges.)

 

Whole School Roller-Disco (Parents and children made the most of an outside company bringing in skates for hire and a special floor covering. Food was provided for those wanting it. Various sessions including early straight from school session ideal for our youngest pupils.)

 

Pamper Evening (A community event where our school was turned into a zen-like retreat offering very reasonably priced treatments, a bar, shopping and a chance to unwind.)

 

End of Term Christmas Disco (This was chance for all the pupils from Reception up to Y6 to have a fun evening dancing and socialising with their school friends.)

 

Winter Fun Evening (A very popular evening where children had dinner at school and watched a winter themed film.)

 

Mum's Christmas Night-Out (An opportunity for a night off!)

 

Christmas Craft Fayre (This was a evening fundraising event with the school turned into a hive of activity with shopping stalls, craft activities, secret present wrapping, visiting Father Christmas and generally getting in the festive spirit.)

 

Talent Night (A chance for our children to use our excellent hall/stage facilities to show us some of their considerable talents. With a bar and food being served this was also a fundraising event.)

 

Charity Car Wash (Fundraiser where parents and pupils volunteered to wash cars and cook bacon sandwiches for those bringing their cars in to be washed.)
