On Monday 31st March, the whole Essendon community were lucky enough to travel to Hertfordshire Zoo in Broxbourne for a school trip.
On arrival, Pantherswood and Homewood made their way to the 'World of Animals', where they enjoyed the rainforest exhibit and watching the marmosets climbing and playing.
Meanwhile, Harefield and Warrenwood entered the amazing 'World of Dinosaurs', learning lots of facts about the size and diet of a variety of creatures from the past. The jeep and the dilophosaurus were particularly popular!
The whole school met for lunch under the picnic tent and were able to observe the agile gibbons in their enclosure as they ate.
In the afternoon, KS1 and KS2 swapped locations to further explore the exhibits.
Thank you to Mr. Cooper and Miss Moore for all of your hard work in making our trip so successful!
