Our huge summer fundraiser is set to return! 11.30am-3:30pm. Please pop it in your diary and why not share our event page, and invite those you know will enjoy this lovely afternoon in our lovely rural village setting. Our big summer raffle will be returning as will all the fun of the fayre!!

Bag2School - We have the following dates booked in for this year. Pop them in your diary:
Friday 20th January 2017

Friday 28th April 2017

Friday 22nd September 2017

We hope that you will all join us again collecting clothes, shoes, belts, handbags etc. at our next Bag2School drive. We have chosen collections relatively early into each term as being an excellent time for a clear out as the holidays have been and gone and we start sorting out clothing ready for the next season. Usually the school can accommodate bags in the week leading up to the Friday collection. Please check with the office on on the ESA board in the foyer for more information.

Forthcoming Meeting and Events

With a new school year comes the need to overhaul our plans.  We need more parents and staff to join us in our efforts, and we need YOUR input into the events we run and the ways in which we raise funds.  It has been a year of learning for the team since we took over the administration of the trust from our former secretary. Now we are facing the busiest event for the ESA! The summer terms sees our largest fundraisers of the year, our May Fayre where we hope to raise lots of lovely money! For more info you can use our contact us form on this website or please call Jo (Alex and Katie’s mum) 01707 262611 or 0789 664 2020.

About The Essendon School Association

The ESA is Essendon C of E (VC) Primary School's parent teacher association. The ESA is primarily a fund raising body, but equally important is it's contribution to the overall life of the school.

All parents of children registered at the school and anyone over 18yrs with an interest in helping our association can be a member of the ESA. There is a core committee of trustees and a wider team of members, we arrange to all meet regularly to plan and organise events and to decide how to spend the money raised.

Events are varied and range from a Parents Welcome Evening at the start of each new academic year, an annual Summer Fayre and regular children's discos to Pamper Evenings, Children's Talent Show, Race Nights, Film Nights and Roller Skating Discos. All are organised by a very hard working group of parents who are always looking for others to join in and lend a hand at functions.

This year we contributed funds to the new gates project. In the past we have raising funds to help towards the building of our new School Library (2013-2014) as well as meeting the cost of coach hire for school trips. We also contributed to the cost of the school bags that were new to all pupils in September 2015. This was at the school councils (pupils) request.

The ESA are always working and supporting in the background.
