Admissions

We understand that all children are different and we work closely with our families to ensure that every pupil's start to their school life is successful and positive.

Our Nursery caters for pupils who will have their fourth birthday during the academic year.

Many pupils are ready to join the Nursery class in September because they are confident and have already experienced a nursery or other setting. However, for those pupils whose birthday falls between March and July, they may not be ready to join the Nursery class until January and we are happy to accommodate this.

Some pupils may join the Nursery on a part-time basis a little earlier to help with transition and our EYFS team are happy to discuss this with families on an individual basis.

We are very open to accepting pupils who are eligible for the government's "30 hours free childcare" funding for full days either every day or less often. If you would like to discuss full days, please make an appointment to do so. We would be happy to show you round our EYFS unit and discuss with you whether you think it is the right place for your child. Further information about the 30 hours funding and how to apply can be found in the link below.

Applications for our Nursery to be made directly to the school.

School admissions in all other year groups are allocated according to Hertfordshire County Council’s Primary Admissions Policy. Please see the link below.

Our Published Admission Number (PAN) is 15. Our policy is not to go over PAN except in exceptional circumstances in relation to the pupil in question and only then where admitting a pupil over PAN will not be to the detriment to the rest of the school.
